Major remodeling of a 74 sq. m. apartment in Poblenou neighborhood.

In this project, we eliminated several existing partition walls to create a much more open and functional space. The new layout resulted in two exterior-facing bedrooms, a living room extending through much of the apartment with a kitchen integrated into it, and an elegant bathroom. Exterior bedroom windows combined with floor-to-ceiling windows on the other end of the building facing interior provide plenty of natural light much of the day.

As for interior design, the compelling contrast between white and black creates a coherent and clean feel. White represents pureness and luminosity, while black stands for elegance and sofistication.

Wood prevails on most of the floors around the apartment, and it is also present through pieces of furniture such as kitchen cabinets and bathroom storage. Wood is a material we use a lot in our projects. It has a wide variety of applications, and the immense selection of textures, colors and finishes enables us to create organic, natural and cozy spaces.

We also chose to add elements of industrial style such as steel and glass partition screen and windows. Steel is a ductile material, which can be shaped in numerous ways and used both for partition purposes and as elements of furniture.
